Sometimes, Mary, I give you a call, and it is as if you pick up the telephone, as you call it, and answer me. I speak to you in thought and I find now that almost immediately you think about those things which I want you to think about. And when your thoughts are firm and positive, I bring those who are needing help to you.
And if you could but see a conversation of mind, between minds, go on. And you answer questions and you give the right answers, and it is all through mind and through thoughts. And you do so much more of this work now because you have to be quiet, and you cannot busy yourself so very much with the other things, the other chores.
It is good to be able to communicate, it is good to be greeted with love. It is good that the minds to which we are drawn are aware of our presence. For so many thousands and millions of Spirit people, have to wait, as it were, in the background. Their charges and their wards are people who love and who try and who believe in the orthodox sense, believe in the Jesus Christ of the Bible, and believe in the Almighty God, and yet they are not truly aware. Although in the Churches and in the various Temples upon the Earth, they sing their praises to God, and they read and learn about the Angels that came to the prophets of old.
And they have faith that these things were so, they hope that it is true. For they would love to believe that all these wonderful things are so. And yet they have not been taught, and they have not sought for themselves the answer to all those things. And although the man in the pulpit tells the same children time and time again that the Angels are there to guide, that Jesus spoke to the Angels, if one of the flock was to say this was true because they could see them, this would be something spectacular. And at times they would be told that this very vision could be dangerous. But we are proud and happy to say that you, and those people like you, who have followed the teachings of Christ and taken His words seriously, and have sought, as He told us all to seek, have discovered at last the temple not made with hands.
The temple, the sacred place, the shrine, within yourselves. And when one knows that this very prized place is there at all times, one cannot help but feel so sad because so many children who would love God, are seeking desperately, searching desperately, anywhere but the right place. They go here and they go there, they plumb the depths of the ocean, and they rise above the clouds, and they see and wonder at all the creation, and yet they know not where that very place is for which they are subconsciously seeking at all times. They know not that without moving one inch, the temple not made with hands is there, waiting for them to enter, waiting to reveal to them in it's stillness, and in it's peace, all that the Father would have them know.
It is natural, and part of the Law, that all men should have a dwelling place. And all normal, natural people seek for this one thing, the place in which to dwell. And Jesus said that He would go to prepare a Mansion for each and every one. And those who are aware, even whilst upon the Earth plane, of the Christ spirit, of the God within themselves, have allowed, have given consent to the Spirit within themselves, to prepare this special place even whilst they are upon the Earth. And these very few, very faithful ones, find that in the midst of the noisome World, in the midst of the great darkness, in the chaos and tumult of Earthly life, they can withdraw, and enter in, and centre down, into their proper place, the place of the spirit. And here, they can come face to face with their true self.
The physical does not enter in, for its is that part which will go back to the dust from whence it came. And here there is no heat, no cold, no hunger, no pain, just the quiet stillness of true love and peace.
And here the ray foes forth, through the great darkness, and attracts the ray of light and love which emanates from other minds on a like vibration. And the powers meet and become one, And in this Temple not made with hands, one can receive strength and courage and enlightenment and one can know and feel one's true relationship to the Father and to the Universal Spirit.
And it is as such times, when the Earth child enters into this place, and gives itself over to the spirit, that we gather very, very close. It is an invitation, an open invitation, from the Earth child that the Spirit friends and the healers and the teachers that are serving in the name of the Christ, who truly want to serve God, who truly want to bring peace upon the Earth. It is where they meet. It is where they converse. It is where they communicate. And it is from these temples not made with hands that the healing power pours forth and goes our through he darkness giving light, healing and peace where it can enter in.
You can feel this true power of love and healing at this very moment. It is because the doors of the sacred places have been opened to the true power and to the true spirit.
This transcript addresses something quietly poignant about faith kept at the level of hope rather than knowledge: the many who "believe in the orthodox sense," who sing praise in church and trust the old stories, but "have not sought for themselves" — and who might even be warned that a direct experience of the sacred would be "something spectacular," even dangerous, if it actually happened to them. Belief, held this way, remains a wish about someone else's testimony; it never becomes a discovery of one's own.
Against this, the transcript names "the temple not made with hands" (Acts 7:48, 2 Corinthians 5:1) as fully available now, "without moving one inch" — the very thing so many are "subconsciously seeking at all times" while looking everywhere except the one place it actually is. This ties directly to the "many mansions" teaching met earlier in this collection, but sharpens its point: the mansion isn't only prepared and waiting after death, it's a temple that can be entered and inhabited now, by anyone who consents to let the Spirit within build it.
Its most concrete claim describes what actually happens within that inner temple: it's where contact occurs — not merely felt as presence, but as an active meeting place where "the ray goes forth... and attracts the ray of light and love which emanates from other minds on a like vibration," guides and healers gathering specifically at the moment the door is opened from the human side, "an invitation, an open invitation." The temple isn't only a private refuge from the world's noise; it's described here as the very channel through which healing power reaches outward into the darkness that surrounds it.
