With a deep and sincere love we come to you. And we too pray with you that the will of God shall be done, and that we shall all receive our daily bread from the Father and from the Creator of all creation.
But first let there be light. Let there be true vision. Let people see and understand reality and the things that are real. Let them choose those things which shall not perish. Because, although Jesus taught us to pray Thy will be done, there must be, for the will of the Father to be done as it should be done, through the Earth people, then there must be light. That they may see those things which should be done and those which can be left unto themselves.
But they live, as it were, so many countless millions, in the great darkness, and they comprehend it not. They know not that they are in the great darkness, because, through the way they think, through the lack, as you say, of imagination, they comprehend not that they are in the great darkness. They are at home feeling and groping their way for this tiny morsel and that. And they consider these cheap, unhealthy, all these perishable things, the things of the world, they believe that these things are their daily bread.
And they feel that they have to thank God, as it were, for these dry morsels that do nothing for their immortal souls.
And so, in the great darkness, they fumble through the murky things of the world, grasping those morsels which they feel will sustain them, and yet all is ignorance. They know not and they crave not for the true light of love and truth. Their daily bread for which we have been told to ask, they know not what it is, and the scramble for ever after the dry morsels that the world gives unto them
And so we, in our turn, come to thank all those who desire to see the light. Those of you who recognise and comprehend the great darkness around you, and do understand it, and do know that it's there, and who crave for light from within. And who ask day by day for the daily bread of grace. For the daily bread of love. For the daily bread of understanding and wisdom. And who, when finding this bread and partaking of it through the mind, find that it swells unto itself and becomes of such proportions that it can be shared and given out. And it is given to nourish the Spiritual bodies of those with whom you come into contact.
Albeit, you find that you have to make contact with people day by day who do not understand the value of true daily bread from the world of Spirit, created through love, and through tolerance, and through understanding and compassion. And yet, who partake of it from you through those things that you do on the physical and material level. But because you understand the different levels of consciousness, you meet them on the vibration of their need. And you supply their need on that level at that time.
But you awaken in these decent human beings a wonderment and at times a bewilderment and at least they say, "What makes her behave in this way?" Why does she do this?" and they are overwhelmed and they are very grateful for the help which you have given them on that level, albeit material and human. But this is because you have escaped from the great darkness which even these people may be in at this same time. And because you have brought from the depths of your being the inner light, because you know you will need it to help you through the great darkness, because as long as there is ignorance and fear in the hearts of those around you, the great darkness will persist. But you have the torch and the inner light. And you bring the torch and the light into the great darkness when you help in any way or on any level that you can, and you spread the light.
Albeit, these bewildered souls are using your light, but it is enhancing, as it were, this dark patch at this time. And they feel the warmth of this light although they do not know or recognise what it is. But if they really seek, and if they sincerely love you for your own love and for the power which you are creating, from your Spiritual self, then they must begin to understand the darkness, to know it is there and to look for that light.
And that very light from your own being may reveal the light within themselves. But fret not whatever happens, you have done your best. Each one has that very light within himself. If he will refuse to comprehend the great darkness, then it is of his own desires and of his own making. For God sent you not forth without the equipment to overcome all human distress, all human anxieties, for He sent you forth in human flesh with the immortal Spirit within yourself. And all knowledge and all wisdom in your own deep centre.
But, as we have told you before, all these treasures are hidden deep. For they must not fall into the hands of little children or into the hands of those who cannot think clearly, who cannot love, who cannot understand. Therefore, in them, even in you, even in Jesus, the pearls were buried deep. But they are there nevertheless.
And so, as you go on giving and loving and helping where you feel the need is most, you are spreading the light, you are playing your part, you are going about your Father's business. We understand the ache in your heart at times when you that you give this, you give the and all is received. But the very treasure, the real treasure, the pearl of great price, you must keep to yourself. We know that you realise that this treasure, if you could only give it and share it, would mean that every man who came into contact with you could help himself, and be free for ever as you are free in Spirit. But you must be patient, for as you yourself realise, there are the young ones in the family of God, there are the little children in the family who must need many, many ages before they can see and develop. But all is well and God is love. And as love is in absolute, complete, control, then you yourself are part of this love. The people that you help and long to help even more, are part of this love. But they must awaken, they must see the darkness and they must crave for the light. And then it shall be found where it has always been, within themselves.
Be at peace and know that we are very, very near, through the grace, through the daily bread of God.
"Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11) is reread here entirely inwardly — most people, this transcript says, spend their lives "grasping those morsels" of the material world and mistaking them for daily bread, never realising they're in darkness at all, since "through the lack of imagination" they can't even see what's missing. The transcript's real subject is the difference between petitioning for material sustenance and petitioning for "the daily bread of grace... of understanding and wisdom" — bread that, once received, doesn't merely satisfy but "swells unto itself," becoming enough to share.
Its central honesty concerns the frustration of helping people who never recognise what's actually being given: someone who meets others "on the vibration of their need," offering real spiritual light through ordinary, practical, material help, is often received with only bewilderment — "why does she do this?" — the deeper gift going unnoticed even as its warmth is genuinely felt. This isn't treated as failure; the transcript insists that such warmth, even unrecognised, still enhances "this dark patch," doing real work regardless of whether it's understood.
Its sharpest instruction concerns what cannot be given away no matter how much is wanted: "the very treasure, the real treasure, the pearl of great price, you must keep to yourself" — not from stinginess, but because it "must not fall into the hands of... those who cannot think clearly," who would misuse or fail to value it. The ache this causes is named directly and without false comfort — wanting desperately to simply hand someone their own freedom and being unable to — but the transcript's answer is patience rather than resignation: what's hidden is hidden "nevertheless there," waiting for each person's own eventual readiness, not lost or withheld out of unkindness.
