We come in love. And we would have you think upon the seam of gold, think upon all the precious things in the Earth which have to be discovered, which have to be found through sheer hard work, and through patience, and through much endeavour, and albeit at times, bitter disappointment, when that which is not real is unearthed. For a moment one may feel that this is the real thing, that one has found a treasure, and then only to find that it is of nothing, it is simply something which shines but is not the tru But eventually, if that rare streak, that rare thing, that precious gen or metal is there in the Earth, in that part where you have worked, where you have searched, then it shall be made
And we want you, when you think about this theme, to think of people, of the persons that you meet, of those with whom you come into contact. And you feel, perhaps, drawn to this one or that. But you find that there are little mannerisms, parts of the temperament, personality, which you cannot always agree with. You cannot always, as it were, see eye to eye. But, like the one who is digging and delving for treasure, in the depths of the Earth, if you feel this kinship, then you must work on this.
And you must learn to take that which you cannot agree with, this which does not please you at this same time, and try to realise that this person has perhaps through past environment, through past experiences, through hereditary traits, have these have these things in their nature which are not quite as you would like. But if you persevere, if you try, if you dig and delve, if you turn over this and turn over that, if you have the patience, and the humility of Spirit, if you are tolerant enough, then surely you will find the thread of gold.
This may not be in all you meet, because, perchance, this one and that have no idea that within themselves lies the very Spirit, the very essence, the Godhead, the Spirit of the living Christ. And if they know not this, if they feel that this life is all, and that the grave has a victory, and that they will perish, as it were, and go to nothing, then you will not be able to bring to the very surface, this thread of pure gold. But, albeit, it is there. But until the psychic door has opened, until through their own endeavour, they have come to the realisation of their relation-ship to the Creator of all creation, you can only meet this one on their own material, physical, and mental level. And you can do much for this one, but you will not un-Earth, not at this same time, the very thread of gold. This feeling of belonging, of being one, of being able to communicate even when sitting in silence.
But if you have had the patience to unearth, and to bring this onto the surface, then there is a kinship, a one-ship, a link which is absolute. And you will be able to forget all the top soil, all the counterfeit things which you have found in this nature, and realise in your heart that all these things matter not, because that precious, that absolute, that spark of absolute perfection, has been brought into the conditions, into the ether, into, as it were, your very own mind. And you can feel this thing, and, like a magnet that will take unto itself all that which is of itself, you will embrace this streak, this thread, this seam of pure gold. And all the other will be forgotten and cast away. And for eternity this link will be forged. And it matters not that there are certain anxieties, there are certain moments in time, when you feel even now a little disillusioned. If this thread in another, in the heart and mind of another, has been discovered, this will always be, cannot fade, cannot perish.
But it is only here and there that you will make this terrific, absolute discovery. But it is worth all the work, all the patience, up and all the understanding. And it will make up just this one. just this one precious link, for all the other little children, who, no matter how you try, you fail to discover, and to bring to the surface, this very Spirit, pure and perfect and absolute.
But it is not by accident that the treasure is found. It is brought into your condition and into your situation, but always it has to be discovered and when it happens it is like almost unto a miracle. And if it happens more than once in a life-time then you are indeed blessed. And you are indeed endowed.
This transcript applies the mining image, familiar throughout this collection, to something more specific than personal spiritual searching — the search for real kinship with other people. Someone's irritating mannerisms or difficult temperament aren't treated as reasons to give up on them, but as the topsoil that must be dug through: "if you feel this kinship, then you must work on this," patiently, tolerantly, before knowing whether real gold lies underneath.
Its honest limitation is that not everyone has this thread to find. Someone who believes "the grave has the victory," who has never opened to their own relationship with the divine, genuinely has no accessible seam of gold — not because they lack worth, but because "the psychic door" hasn't yet opened for them to bring it to the surface. The transcript is careful this isn't failure on the searcher's part: such a person can still be helped, met, and cared for on "their own material, physical, and mental level" — only the deeper kinship, the wordless communion "even when sitting in silence," remains unavailable until they do their own inward work.
What's promised for the rare case where gold actually is found is unusually strong: a link that, once forged, "cannot fade, cannot perish," permanent regardless of later friction or disillusionment on the surface. And the transcript closes with real honesty about scarcity — this isn't found often, sometimes only once in a lifetime, sometimes never — but insists it's "worth all the work, all the patience," a single true find outweighing every failed excavation that came before it.
