And Jesus said
"In my Father's house there are many mansions."
If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you". We know that it is very difficult for the children upon the Earth plane to visualise a world of light and love and of peace. Where there is no need to worry about material things. We know that to seek for the truth and for the light and for love is very difficult in your dark world. For the thoughts emanating from the minds of men are dark and form, as it were, a cloud about the Earth because all men are afraid of the unknown, they feel that they must at any cost, protect themselves from poverty, from hunger, and from death.
And because they are of little understanding, and because they are like little children, afraid of the dark, they seek for power and they seek for wealth, and they seek for those things which will help to prolong their lives upon the Earth. They kill each other and call it war. They rob each other and call it business, they love not the things that will bring them peace. They do not appreciate the simple, ordinary things which are indeed, gifts from the Father Himself.
And so, we find it absolutely necessary when we can find a link upon the Earth, when we are drawn to a light, a light. This light is created through the mind of a person who is beginning to seek, and who wants to know. We feel within the human breast, the immortal longing for love and for peace.
And this light is like a shining beacon in the darkness, and there are many who wait to serve and to help and to guide this one, because this one is indeed an agent, one who will send out the power of love, who will store it, and then give it, to all and sundry. Although this one cannot always talk about those things near to his own heart, but he knows that to serve is to love, and that to love is to become part of the great purpose and the great plan.
And because there are many, many, levels of consciousness, because every being is in a different state, it is absolutely necessary that there should be many, many mansions in the world of spirit. Many divers abodes where people in their diverse states may be, and feel, at home.
And we promise you this, wherever you go, wherever you come when you pass hence, you will find yourself at home, in your proper place, in the mansion prepared for you. You prepare, you help to prepare this mansion for yourself, by your way of life, by your thinking, by your deeds and through your prayers for others. And your own faith, your own faith in good, in God, in love, in yourself, and in your fellows. And this true faith is a substance, is a substance which we use, because it is a spiritual thing, and yet we can use it to create, and to bring about answers to your prayers for others. This faith also we use as a shield around yourself, an invisible shield, but with the qualities that would resist the strongest steel, because it is of God.
And we ask you to have no fear because fear and faith are at the opposite ends of the same state. And fear creates ignorance and all the evil things in the world which are alien to God and to love. But when you begin to develop your faith, it matters not whether you consider yourself a religious person, or a so-called church-goer. What matters is that you recognise the Spirit of Christ, the seed of your Father, God within yourself.
And when you become absolutely aware of this power within you, you will see and recognise in every other being the Spirit and the love. And you will know without a shadow of doubt that you are indeed brothers and sisters, children of the one Father, God.
And you will be able, because of the understanding which will come to you, and the understanding can only come to the person who begins to empty himself or herself of self, and we will repeat a phrase which we often use,
"The virtue of a pipe is its emptiness."
When you can feel absolutely empty of self, you will open the channel so that love, pure and simple, can flow through you. And you will find that although the body is ageing, and becoming weaker, because the natural law decrees that all things will change and decay, this is the natural law of matter, which must be accepted. But even the body will feel strengthened, and help will flow through to every fibre of one's being, if one allows oneself to be used as a channel for love.
And it is with great joy that we welcome all people, all persons, all little children, into the holy place. And to know and to feel that one is at home, in their own particular mansion, before one leaves the Earth, is a very helpful, very beneficial, very gratifying, experience. For one realises that one is on the way to heaven now. And we ask you to value the moment, for the past has gone and the future will be a result of the way you think and the way you behave and the way you pray and the way you live now.
And we bring you words of comfort. For we understand, because standing as we do at a vantage point, and we can see the darkness and the ignorance and fear surrounding the Earth, but everyone who begins to seek, who lives the life, who loves truly, is another light, another beacon in a darkened world. And your search can only lead you to the light, for you crave for light, you seek for the light of love, and no-one can ask for bread and receive a stone. For all is love.
Do not waste your time with regrets or with remorse. Look to the future and thank God that you have been allowed to see and to understand just a little of His Divine purpose and plan before you come hence. For there are many, many working who understand your way of thinking and your so-called likes and dislikes, who are helping to prepare, by their own hands, a mansion just for you. Be at peace.
Where the earlier "Many Mansions" focused on the great void one must descend into to earn a mansion, this one addresses something plainer and more immediate: why people avoid the search at all. The transcript is unusually direct about ordinary human fear — war explained as self-protection, "business" as legitimised taking, wealth and power sought only "because they are like little children, afraid of the dark." This isn't condemnation so much as diagnosis: fear and faith are named as opposite ends of the same single state, and it is fear, more than malice, that produces most of what's alien to love in the world.
Its central instruction is captured in a single phrase, repeated as a teaching in itself: "the virtue of a pipe is its emptiness." Usefulness, on this account, comes not from filling oneself with more but from clearing space for something to pass through — faith described not as private comfort but as an active substance, used to answer prayers for others and to shield against fear "with the qualities that would resist the strongest steel." Real faith, here, is functional rather than merely felt.
Its closing comfort speaks directly to physical decline: the body will still weaken under the "natural law of matter" — that isn't denied or spiritualised away — but even so, allowing oneself to be "used as a channel for love" is said to bring real strength into "every fibre of one's being" even as the body fails. And its final reassurance turns from vague hope to something concrete: many, even now, are preparing a specific mansion, suited to one's own particular nature, "likes and dislikes" included — not a generic heaven, but a homecoming built to fit.
