Blessed is the man who has searched for truth, and has been willing to walk along the valley path. And yet through all the bitter experiences of life has still managed to seek and search for peace, not as the world knows it, but the peace of God, the peace which passeth all understanding.
And in this day and age upon your Earth plane, it is very distressing to witness as we do, the great mass of people who have found only that which appertains, as it were, to their own physical, material world.
It is so necessary now for people to find a quiet place. It is becoming more and more difficult, and we are aware of this, for the children of Earth to find a place of quiet and of peace to escape from the ordinary, everyday, noise and chaos in the cities and even in the so-called quiet country places, because of the different methods of transportation, even your skies are beginning to be not a safe place, overcrowded. And so we ask you to rejoice in your hearts that you have searched for truth and that you have climbed the mountain of your mind. And that you started, as it were, at the foot of the mountain, and had to endure all the divers experiences on the difficult path of ascension.
There have been times we know, when you would have turned around and run, as it were, down the path back again to that place where you felt at least physically and materially comfortable. A place that you knew of and where there were people with whom you could mix and converse with other humans on the
ordinary, everyday level. But because you overcame this, and because you kept on going slowly, surely, finding the footholds and clasping, as it were, the invisible rope of faith and hope, you slowly made your way and came at times to this ledge or that, where again you have stood for a time and looked down and felt and wondered, “Is it worth it? It is so difficult. At times it is so lonely”. Because there comes these times when there seems to be no-one around who thinks the same as you do. Who you can converse with. Always there are people but just that one who has searched and who understands and who knows, who stands too on the ledge at the side of the steep mountain.
But there come the times when you find yourself upon the plateau and here you feel safe. And you very very quietly adjust this place to suit yourself. It is a state of mind. The plateau is symbolic of the state of mind of one who has climbed the mountain. And who at last feels at home in this place. And although the things all around him are familiar, the physical, ordinary things. The house in which you live, the things that you use, the windows that you look through to see the familiar landscape, they are all the same. But the state of mind is different. And even these everyday common objects seem to become imbued with this spirit of peace. The rarefied air which one breathes on this spiritual level, seems to cleanse and to bring a peaceful vibration to even the ordinary, everyday things. And one becomes content and satisfied, because in very truth, spiritually they are breathing a different air. They are not on a low level. They have lifted themselves up through the mind. And here, in this
place, they can converse with beings from another world who are also at home on this vibration in this very place.
And so, do not fear that we are coming down to you, that we are not at home with you, because we do not come to the plane or to the place where you are, but we come to your state of mind, to the level of your thoughts because we do not know, or have any dealings with, as it were, the ordinary, material things around you. We are attracted through the mind. And we would not come if we were not at home in this place which you have built up through your way of life, your prayers, and your thoughts. There are those who have recently passed on who come to visit you, who we bring, but I would have you know that they come so often on borrowed power. They can come on to your everyday vibration, but to reach your state of mind, to see and to understand how you think, and how you have created this place of peace and quiet, we have to help them, and teach them, and we sort of lend them power, and we also at times, have to borrow power from higher beings, more advanced souls, if we would go into the lower spheres. You see, the greater power a Spirit being has, the more he can endure the afflictions and the psychic impact of the lower. Even as you find it very difficult to mix and associate….

This transcript's central image is a mountain climbed, arriving finally at a plateau — a place, importantly, "symbolic of the state of mind" rather than a physical location. What's striking is what doesn't change on arrival: the same house, the same familiar objects and windows, the same ordinary landscape. What changes is entirely internal — "the rarefied air which one breathes on this spiritual level" transforming even common, everyday things through the different way they're now experienced, not through anything about them being altered.
Its honesty about the climb itself is real: repeated temptation to turn back toward what felt "comfortable" and known, genuine loneliness on the ascent — "there seems to be no-one around who thinks the same as you do" — met not by denial but by simple perseverance, "finding the footholds and clasping... the invisible rope of faith and hope."
Its most technical claim concerns how contact actually works: guides come not to a physical place but specifically to a state of mind, and are "attracted through the mind" rather than through any material circumstance — meaning the peaceful plateau, painstakingly built through years of prayer and right living, is the very thing that makes contact possible at all, not a byproduct of it. Its closing detail is unusually specific: newly-passed souls visiting Earth do so "on borrowed power," lent and taught by more experienced guides, since reaching another person's actual state of mind — not merely their physical vibration — requires a strength the newly arrived don't yet have on their own.
