March 20th 1966 (Mother’s day)
"I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh thy help".
Come ye forth into the high places, and in the rarefied air we will find peace and comfort. Leave the valley below, and you will see from this high place that the human race is but like unto the ants that go hither and thither, yet knowing not what they are looking for, and understanding not why they do this or that.
But those who can, as it were, lift up their eyes, who can traverse to this higher place, get, as it were, onto the higher vibration, will be able to breathe in the air of God. The life force. the love. Far away from the mists and the denseness of human thought, so much thought that is wrong and misdirected. And so we invite you to come up higher.
And so, in this stillness, shall we see more clearly what is below us, what is around us, and what is above us. See the wild rose, perfectly still, and yet in perfect bloom. It knows not, and yet it gives forth of its perfume, and any passer by may stay awhile and inhale and realise the power of being still.
If you examine nature, all is perfect, all laws are kept.
But if you look lower, you will see the teaming millions, engulfed in ignorance which creates cruelty, and avarice, greed jealousy and hate. But you do not see these things in nature. All these things which we see when we look down into the valley of human life, are caused through the misuse of God's greatest gift to His children, free will. But here, in the heights of the mind, in the hills of the mind, we can be at peace.
And we celebrate on a higher plane, on a higher vibration, the true Creator of the world. The true Mother of humanity, on this, your Mother's day. The true creators of love, those that from the wombs of their minds create good and loving thoughts. These little ones go forth, and they bring to many who are sad and lonely, ill and aged, a peace and happiness, although they know not from whence they come. And yet, like smiling children, like innocent babes, they come forth from the mind of the true mother, and they bring many blessings because they are charged with love itself, from the fountain, from the minds of good people, of people who know how to create, not through the physical means of the body, but through the mental and spiritual mind.
And so, everyone who, in the heights, in the quiet, in the peace, can conceive of God and of love, these same ones must deliver, the hour of deliverance must come, and as the physical mother is heavy with child, and is delivered of her babe, so must the mind, after conceiving, and receiving, and developing these higher thoughts, this good will, this love, than that one too gives life in its very highest sense, in the God sense, to the world.
But these children of the mind have wings and they can go forth to the furthest corners of the Earth, until they see and feel and know that they have found a mind which they can make their own. And you see creation at its best.
And from this little hut that is going forth which will bring good, in some cases even perfection. For all things must grow, all things must mature, whether it be good or bad. It must get bigger. And so, my children, these things that are going forth from your minds will grow, and until you pass hence, you will not know to what proportion they themselves acquire. And you will see that there were those who would have remained ignorant, who would have remained sick, if it were not for your divine thoughts, your divine prayers.
But still we must insist that these thoughts, these prayers, these desires, after they have been sent forth with deep sincerity, must not cause you any anxiety. We understand that at the time that they were taking, as it were, form in your mind, they will cause a certain amount of anxiety, and what you call a little worry, but this is the Spirit at work in your mind, fighting against the lower self and causing irritability and a little resentment, but when at last they have gone forth, and you have been your very best, be still, and let the Spirit continue in its own way. Allow the living water to find its own level. And, like the rose, be still. And we promise you that as the perfume comes from the rose, so will a certain substance, a certain something, exude from yourself. And people will come into contact with you, will sense this, will know that it is there. And their minds will, sort of, inhale, take in, and something will be done. Thy will be done because thy will is God's will. And it is your desire that His will be done.
And so we will lift up our eyes, and we will look around and we will look above and we will see the ministering angels waiting patiently, in all their quiet beauty, their peace, their tranquillity, to help us, to help you, after your short stay, to go back, down into the valley for a little while longer.
Believe us when we say, we are very sorry, and we feel very sad, concerning all these things of which you have been making. But, because you are true mothers, in the Spirit sense, you will be filled with infinite patience, with deep understanding, and with the love of Christ. The love of Mary, and the love of God and the angels. Because you are true parents, you will not be angry, you will be a little sad. But you will persevere. Hope will never leave you, and you will be re-charged, and you will be strong.
And you will see in every face, the Spirit of God.
And so we end with a prayer for mothers everywhere. Those who love in the human, physical, sense, who struggle to do their very best for their Earthly children, and for those of you who are mothers in the Spirit sense, We pray for the children of your minds that they may go forth and do much good work in the name of Christ our Lord. We bring you the flowers of this day of the spirit. We bring you love. We bring you peace. We bring you courage. We bring you strength. All is well. Be at peace.
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills" opens Psalm 121 nearly word for word, and sets the transcript's central image: rising above the "valley" of human ignorance and misdirected thought — where humanity moves like ants, "knowing not what they are looking for" — into a stillness where clarity and peace are possible. Nature, seen from this height, keeps every law perfectly; only free will, misused, produces the cruelty and greed visible below.
Thoughts and prayers, sent forth with sincerity, are not simply wishes but a kind of offspring — "children of the mind" with wings of their own, travelling to find minds that need them, growing beyond the sender's knowledge or control. This is close to the Theosophical idea of thought-forms (Annie Besant and C. W. Leadbeater's Thought-Forms*, 1901): that a sincere or sustained thought takes on a kind of independent life and travels to do its work in the world, quite apart from the thinker's further involvement.*
