There are many things which puzzle you and which appear to be a deep mystery. You look around and you see here and there one who seems to be treated unfairly, and you feel that this circumstance or that is unjust concerning this one. But we say unto you, and you have heard it said before, that the sun shines on the just and on the unjust, and it rains also on the righteous and the unrighteous. It is so true that the Father, the power of love, loveth all and sundry, and the greater the need, the more this love poureth itself forth.
This does not mean that the recipient of such love will feel, or be aware of it's presence, because the greater the need for this parental, divinely parental love, the more sometimes it seems to burn, to seer, and to destroy. Even as all the dross must be burned away from the pure silver before it becomes itself. Before it is of any worth the burning must take place.
Now there are they amongst you who, before entering on to the Earth womb of woman, because you wanted to go further, to progress, you made your vows to yourself, unto your own spirit, and you have said, in other words, even as you say in your present world, it is my desire to bring forth a peace, to try to help in my own particular way, to bring about, to bring into fruition to the best of my ability, the purpose and the plan of God through love.
Now when one has this desire, when one has spoken these words, it cannot be taken lightly, because this is the only way to God, to love. Now we want to remind you of these words which you have heard many times before, prevention is better than cure. You have heard of the dark spheres, and in very truth, although you cannot remember your experience, you have visited and you have seen these dark, dreary places. But you know also that even these spheres are states of mind.
Now in this world of spirit, there are many whose state of mind is such that they are in continual darkness, that they seem to be fenced in in a place of and mire. This is because their thoughts have been on such a low level, and there has been no entrance to light, because their way of life, their way of thinking, has been one of absolute selfishness, deceit, jealousy, spite and hate, and they have been in the darkness from the beginning.
Now there are those in your world who could easily become one of this vast legion, but because you and others have made it quite clear, make no mistake about that, through all your prayers, even now you ask that you will be given the power to help, through the Father, through love, to help others. Then you will be used by your own request, and we have been listening to your conversation, and if your loved one is someone very near and dear to you is being used to uplift and to cleanse, through suffering maybe, and through bitter experiences, to bring another soul into such a state that it will not enter the dark regions, is it all in vain? Will not one soul be precious to your father?
So we ask you to view all things in its wider and in its Divine sense. Heartache, human heartache there must be, because you are in a body of flesh, but these very ones who will feel, through their own foolishness, through their own waywardness, have made these mistakes, they needed restriction, they needed holding back from perhaps greater folly. The Father knows all their weaknesses, all their hereditary traits, all those things that make that one or this unique, a person, a human being.
So let us not be downhearted. We must at all times feel sad, and this sadness will prevail until we can see the purpose and the plan in greater perspective, get a closer view. This will come to pass and then we shall see how the darker colours, the more sombre colours, have been created to provide a perfect background for the lighter, the more heavenly shades and hues.
So let your hearts be filled with love and compassion and we will do our best through the grace of God, and with what power through this love we can bring forth, to alleviate the sadness. But this sadness is indeed the sick and the poor which are always with you. The sick and the poor do not always mean those with bodily ailments, those without material possessions. It means those little ones not endowed with understanding, with strong mental powers, with strong powers of reason. These are sick. These are poor. If you find yourself on the vibration, or brought into the aura of such as these, be kind, be lovable, and try, try to do your very best so that one day you will see this little one in a bright and happy place instead of the darkness of the lower spheres.
This transcript wrestles directly with a real and painful question — why suffering seems unevenly distributed, why some seem treated unjustly — without offering an easy answer. "The sun shines on the just and on the unjust" (Matthew 5:45) is quoted, but the transcript pushes past mere acceptance into something more demanding: that love, the greater the need, "sometimes seems to burn, to sear, and to destroy," the way dross must be burned from silver before it becomes pure. Difficulty, on this account, isn't the absence of love but sometimes its most intense and least comfortable form.
Its central comfort is that hard experience with someone dearly loved may not be wasted, even where it looks that way — that suffering endured on another's behalf, if genuinely offered in prayer and love, can help hold that soul back from a far darker path than the present difficulty represents. The transcript's description of the "dark spheres" is careful to locate them as inward rather than punitive — "these spheres are states of mind" formed by accumulated selfishness and hate, not places assigned from outside.
Its final redefinition is the most tender part of the transcript: "the sick and the poor" are said to include not only bodily or material want but those "not endowed with understanding, with strong mental powers, with strong powers of reason" — a plain, compassionate widening of who deserves patience and care. What's asked, in the end, is modest and entirely within reach regardless of outcome: "be kind, be lovable, and try" — not to fix or to fully understand, but simply to stay gentle with someone struggling, trusting the wider purpose to become clear only later, "in greater perspective."
